Mosonmagyaróvár (Just a short walk from
our apartment)
The thermal baths are open
all year long and considered to be one of the top five medical
waters in Europe.
The medical water is recommended as bathing for locomotor
disorders, as inhalation for chronic diseases of the respiratory
organs, and as drinking cure for gastric and intensive diseases

Bükfürdo (90 minutes from our apartment)
The
waters of Bük became qualified medical waters in 1965 and declared
a medical spa in1973. The spa became a health resort in 1979 .
The Bük Spa Bath,
well-known all over Europe, has become one of Hungary's most
remarkable spa baths in the second half of the 20th century. The
medicinal water wells up from a depth of 1282 metres. Nowadays the
spa offers prefect relaxation for people of all ages. The spa lies
in 14 Hectares of land and offers guests 26 pools. These are
filled with medicinal, thermal and drinking water and offer
guests a combined water surface of 5000 square metres all year
round. there are 11 indoor pools (including an adventure pool with
jacuzzi, water jets and fun pool ), 11 outdoor pools and 4 half
covered pools with rooves. Additional treatments and refreshments

Hévíz Thermal lake (2 hours from our
apartment) Hévíz is
located on the west side of Lake Balaton. The main attraction of
the town is the lake with a size of 4,4 hectares. It is the
largest warm water lake of curative powers of Europe, which is
embraced by 50 hectares of protective forest. According to present
data the lake is 38,5 m deep. The water of the lake of Héviz is
"warmed" by geothermal energy, its temperature is the result of
the mixture of warm spring waters and karst water gushing forth
from the depth of the earth. The temperature of the water
fluctuates around 33-35 °c during most of the summer, in autumn
and winter depending on the weather the temperature of the lake is
lower, but it does not drop below 22 °c. |
